教师简介:A. Mandelis教授是加拿大皇家科学院院士;加拿大扩散波科学技术首席科学家。毕业于美国普林斯顿大学,现就职于多伦多大学机械与工业工程系、电力与计算机系教授,同时也是德国慕尼黑工业大学、约克大学客座教授。他是美国物理学会(APS)终身会士,SPIE,AIP等多个学会会士,已发表著作、论文超450篇,他引超过6万次。在教学方面承担多伦多大学机械专业本科生、研究生教学工作数十年,经验丰富。
Prof. Andreas Mandelis is full professor in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering (MIE) and Electric and Computer Engineering (ECE), University of Toronto. He is a Fellow in Royal Society of Canada, Academy of Sciences, and was Canada Research Chair (Tier 1) in Diffusion-wave Sciences and Technologies.He is an internationally recognized expert in thermophotonics.His research encompasses the non-destructive evaluation of materials with industrial and biomedical applications.He is considered a pioneer in the fields of diffusion-wave, photothermal and photoacoustic sciences and related technologies.[4][5] He is the inventor of a photothermal imaging radar which can detect tooth decay at an early stage.
课程简介:课程介绍了各种波场在无损检测与评价技术中的应用。课程从热波(光)、振动波和射线三个层面进行了讲解,通过案分析说明不同物理场在材料光学、热学和声学参数测定中的作用原理。
The course is designed for students who are interested in engineering product and component quality control using non-destructive testing (NDT) and imaging (NDI). The course is structured to present a balanced mixture of theoretical foundations / background and practical applications in areas of thermographic, ultrasonic, and radiometric NDT and NDI. Instructor emphasis will be on instrumentation and measurements germane to each technology, and on analysis of case studies. Major focus of applications involves NDT and NDI using 1) thermal waves, passive thermography and dynamic/active infrared imaging, 2) ultrasonic techniques, and 3) (X-ray) radiographic methods
